The most common spices you can obtain in the market will that will provide the taste you want to have.
You will find different spicy products in the market today. Examples of these are the cayenne pepper, chili powder, and paprika. If you will hear their name, you may already have an idea about the type of chili or spiciness they will offer to you. However, you may also ask about their differences or similarities. The following are the things to describe their differences.
Cayenne pepper is known to be chili pepper. This is the best one for you to choose if you want to have the real spicy taste on your meal. Typically, this type of pepper is a member of the Capsicum annum group, which is also the family of other chili. Cayenne pepper is the right one to use if you want to make Sichuan meals or spicy meals that came from china. The good thing about this type of chili pepper is it can provide you with different types of nutrients such as vitamin E, riboflavin, vitamin A, and a lot more.
Chili powder will give you a very unique taste on your food. This product is not the actual chili but processed mixture of different chili types. Examples of chili used in this combination are cayenne pepper, cloves, black pepper, and even garlic. Since it's a combination of different chili, you can say that it has the strongest taste that you can get.
Lastly, you have an idea that paprika may have a lighter taste since it came from bell pepper. They just dry bell peppers then grind them in order to produce paprika. Of course, the spiciness of this chili product may vary depending on where it's manufactured.
In conclusion, you'll get different tastes by getting these products. Although they came from similar sources, they are still different because they have been processed in various ways.

ReplyDeleteInstead of using cayenne pepper, you can just plant sili in your garden, then mince them for said recipe. That usually gives a fresher and more "natural" taste. The other two are must haves in the kitchen, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of spices that is why I know the difference of the three samples you have here. You forget to include CUMIN POWDER this is use for Mexican dishes, use as a condiment but it's a pungent spice. These four spices give me difficulty in using it, that is why I prefer to use BELL PEPPER at the end. Hahahahaha... :)
